Jennifer Langsdale
Director and Creator of Awaken Yoga School
EYT and Certified Yoga Therapist 500 hrs.
Jennifer is the Director and Creator of Awaken Yoga School and Awaken Yoga Studies Programs. She is also a certified Yoga Therapist and Hatha Yoga Teacher with over 3,000 hours of teaching experience. In addition to running a yoga school, Jennifer teaches at studios and spaces all over Northeast Ohio. The tradition of yoga is something she deeply values, so the goal of Awaken Yoga School is to give students the opportunity to study yoga in a comfortable and healthy environment while learning a 5,000 year old tradition in a way that honors the ancestors of the yogic path.
My personal objective for the Awaken Yoga School was to offer the student a well-rounded background to help inspire their personal practice and teaching skills. I felt it was so important to keep the tradition of yoga alive so we all know the roots of where this practice evolved and to keep passing on those roots while maintaining the ability to teach in the modern day classroom and reach any level of practitioner.
Much love to you on your journey...

Teaching Rejuvination and Health Talks in Yogic Studies
I was raised in the mountains of Appalachia in rural Pennsylvania, and embraced my calling of holistic health and wellness from an early age. My passion and purpose began with childhood rambles in the surrounding woods, usually with my dog and, later, my sister, exploring, and gathering comfort and learning truth from my elders and from the Earth.
I received my medical doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, and completed my training in Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, St. Vincent Charity Hospital, also in Cleveland.
In addition to being a private practice physician, I am also pleased to be a Health Sciences Professor at Cleveland State University, in Cleveland, Ohio, where I teach, research and serve as Director of the Center for Healing Across Cultures. Founded by myself and several colleagues, we facilitate positive change as we research and make known traditions for the creation and maintenance of wellness, consciousness, happiness, and wisdom in the pursuit of healthier people, their communities, and our living environment. Jeanette Peters, RYT-300 hours
Awaken Yoga Mentor
I am Jeanette Peters, a Certified Awaken Yoga Teacher at the 300 hour level by the Yoga Alliance Standards. My eyes were opened to yoga in high school after the death of my father. At that time I was looking for a way accept a new change in my life and my heart found peace by doing yoga. Through the trusting guidance of my teacher I realized that learning anything new takes time and patience. Yoga isn't just about a physical posture (asana) it's about learning how to accept the things you cannot change and embracing the difficult things in your life with an open heart. One of the greatest joys of teaching yoga is seeing the peace of mind that washes over your students while in a class. Yoga has changed my life and being able to share that with others is one of the most beautiful gifts I could ask for.

Jeannie Sefick
Awaken Yoga Mentor
I have been practicing yoga for about 4 years. I am attracted to the revitalizing and renewed feeling during and after a practice. I chose to attend Awaken Yoga Teacher Training to learn as much as I could about yoga traditions so as to share it with as many people as possible.
Melissa Arcuri
Awaken Yoga Mentor
I took my first yoga classes while I was completing my undergraduate degree in Business Marketing 7 years ago. When I resigned from my corporate job, I was without question drawn to yoga. Yoga is not something I do, it is how I live my life. It awakens every part of your being and especially that which is within.
