Class Schedule & Workshops
All Awaken Yoga classes are based on the Hatha Yoga tradition which means
we start with a practice of breath and intention, move into asana (postures)
practice and end with a relaxation in shavasana (pose of relaxation).

Preparing
for Yoga Class:
» It is recommended that you wear loose-fitted
clothing.
» Yoga is practiced barefoot and on a yoga mat.
- » Yoga is not intended to be a workout, although it
does deal with the care, health and
- well-being of the physical body. Though
your body will feel as if it has had a work out, you are doing so much more
for yourself!
- » It is always recommended that you start with a beginner's
class if you are new to yoga,
- and if you are not it is always smart to let
your teacher know that you are and of any
injuries or ailments you may have.
- » Please bring a yoga mat and blanket or towel to class.
- Blocks
and straps are optional but are great tools to have, extras are limited.
- » All pre-paid classes must be used within
3 months of purchase;
- no refunds are ever issued for pre-paid classes.
It is at the student's discretion to use pre-paid classes.

Beginner's Foundational Yoga
Starting May 8th
Thursdays, 7:15-8:15pm
Taught By Jeanette Peters
Please bring a yoga mat and yoga strap. Yoga blocks are recommended. Learn
the foundations of breath practice, postures (asana), and relaxation. This
is a great class for those just beginning or have a desire to stretch and
stregthen the body gently.
