All Awaken Yoga classes are based on the Hatha Yoga tradition which means we start with a practice of breath and intention, move into asana (postures) practice and end with a relaxation in shavasana (pose of relaxation).

Preparing for Yoga Class:

» It is recommended that you wear loose-fitted clothing.

» Yoga is practiced barefoot and on a yoga mat.

» Yoga is not intended to be a workout, although it does deal with the care, health and
well-being of the physical body. Though your body will feel as if it has had a work out, you are doing so much more for yourself!

» It is always recommended that you start with a beginner's class if you are new to yoga,
and if you are not it is always smart to let your teacher know that you are and of any
injuries or ailments you may have.

» Please bring a yoga mat and blanket or towel to class.
Blocks and straps are optional but are great tools to have, extras are limited.

» All pre-paid classes must be used within 3 months of purchase;
no refunds are ever issued for pre-paid classes. It is at the student's discretion to use pre-paid classes.

$10 drop-in
$38 4-class pass
$72 8-class pass (passes expire in 3 mo.)
$100 monthly unlimited (includes workshops)

Beginner's Foundational Yoga
Starting May 8th
Thursdays, 7:15-8:15pm
Taught By Jeanette Peters
Please bring a yoga mat and yoga strap. Yoga blocks are recommended. Learn the foundations of breath practice, postures (asana), and relaxation. This is a great class for those just beginning or have a desire to stretch and stregthen the body gently.
