Awaken Yoga School - 500 hour yoga teacher training and yogic studies in Mentor, Ohio

The 500 hour certificate is a continuation of the Awaken Yoga 300 hour program. Outside students will need to have 100 hours of Yogic Studies along with a 200 hour training certificate with a Yoga Alliance School as a prerequisite.

Awaken Yoga School - Teacher Training Refund Policy

This program is a commitment. There are no refunds 30 days prior to your training's start date. Your make-up weekends may be taken at no additional cost at a later training or yogic studies weekend up to one year. Once you have completed your training, you may drop in to any teacher training weekend or yogic studies weekend that you have already taken, at no cost to you, if you wish to review material you have already taken. New topics will incur the standard investment price.

Awaken Yoga School - Teacher Training Core Curriculum

* Students will leave this training with a certificate of Teaching in Vinyasa Yoga and Intermediate Yogic Studies

  • Advance your sequencing skills and design more intermediate asana practices
  • Learn intermediate asanas, therapeutics and teaching techniques
  • Enhance your learning of yogic anatomy and Theraputics to better your teaching skills
  • Delve into deeper yogic philosophy
  • Study Vinyasa and learn the techniques to teaching a creative vinyasa class that is well structured
  • Delve into a deeper personal meditation practice and learn the skills to teach mediation and intermediate pranayama practices
  • Practice teaching intermediate classes and receive feedback to enhance your teaching skills
  • Learn the art of designing successful and creative workshops and have a chance to teach them
  • Be involved with outside community projects to get yoga into your communities and practice of Seva
  • Continue to explore different styles and schools of yoga with special guest teachers and outside classroom experiences
  • Expand your knowledge of the chakra system and how to interpret it into the classroom experience and personal sadhana
